Trying to find L's new firetruck toy today. It was in the master bath tub. Because why not?

February 18th

Today is L's 3rd birthday, and he is VERY excited to be a big boy! So excited, in fact, that he keeps pulling down his underwear to "see if my pee pee is big like Daddy's." The joys of having a potty training boy! Happy birthday to my favorite toddler!

February 17th

Did you know that cold pieces of cheese can stick to the refrigerator? Neither did I, until L figured it out. Today the words "Stop sticking your cheese to the fridge and sit down for quiet time!" came out of my mouth. It never ceases to amaze me the new things that get said around here!

February 14th

Today the boys were watched by a friend so I could take N to a pool birthday party. Once I got back I was told that L said he had brains in his butt. No clue where that came from, and we started talking about aliens. We asked L how to get rid of aliens. His response - "Hit them with kittens. How do we get kittens?" Me - "We could buy them on the Internet." L - "That's the perfect plan!" So if you find yourself in a "Signs" situation, skip the water and hit them with kittens. Enjoy your Valentines Day!

February 13th

Today we went to a birthday party, so the older kids have birthdays on the mind - especially since L is turning 3 this week. N just informed me that it's every one's birthday! She's turning 7, L's 3, and I'm 100. Thank you so much, kid.

February 12th

I sent my husband out to the car tonight to grab the diaper wipes. As soon as he put his foot in his shoe, he pulled it out and said, "Let's play what's in my shoe. Grapes."

February 11th

Today we went to a friend's house, and they have no kids. I told N, L, and E that they could each pick one toy to take so they wouldn't get bored (which they didn't even need because B and G are awesome.) I went to clean out my purse to fit the toys and found this. Yes, that is crackers and cheese. I love my kids.

February 10th

Tonight I let L come out to sit with his dad and me after bedtime since he had a late night. As he was sitting, he asked me to lay down with him. I did, and he says, "It sure is a good day for laying down!"

Why a Blog?

I'm Courtney, and welcome! I am a stay-at-home mom of three amazing kids - N, L, and E. Right now N is 6, L is turning 3 next week, and E is 1. So, life is pretty crazy. During the six years of being a mom, I have learned time and time again that nothing in your life can prepare you for the situations you find yourself walking in on, or the things you have to say. I first considered making a blog to record the shenanigans about two weeks ago, when I walked into the bathroom just to find N and L in the bathtub, rolling oranges back and forth. I walked out, by the way. Today I decided to take the plunge when I had to tell L that we do not put food in our underwear. This is my way of remembering the crazy times once I have an empty nest. And, I can't lie, to have lots of blackmail once they reach high school! I hope this crazy house brings some laughter to your life as well!
